In a unexpected partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana together with multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
